Override calling hours for one campaign
Hours come from the channel by default. A campaign can narrow them for itself, and reset back — but it can never widen them.
Calling hours live on the channel, and a campaign inherits them. That inheritance is a safety property: because a campaign can only narrow, never widen, it is structurally impossible for a campaign to dial outside your permitted hours by accident.
The override exists for genuine differences — a reminder campaign that should only run in the morning, say. It is not the place to encode your compliance boundary; that belongs on the line.

Steps
Read the inherited pattern first
The campaign shows the pattern and timezone it inherited, rather than an empty control you have to fill in from memory.
Override only when this campaign differs
A general sales campaign should just use the line's hours. Overriding "to be safe" creates a second place where hours can drift out of date.
Understand the override is campaign-scoped
It changes nothing for the line, for other campaigns, or for anyone dialling manually.
Remember it can only narrow
You cannot widen beyond the channel. If a campaign needs different hours from the line, that is a different line.
Reset back rather than retyping
There is an explicit reset to the channel. Use it — retyping the channel's hours creates a copy that will drift the next time the channel changes.
Check the timezone once more
Same trap as everywhere else hours appear, and it matters more here because a campaign dials at volume.
An override in the wrong timezone will place hundreds of calls at times you are not permitted to call, and every one of them will be documented on a contact timeline.
Check it worked
Look at the campaign's hours and the channel's hours side by side. If they differ and you did not deliberately override, somebody else did — and that is worth knowing.
The parts people get wrong
- A channel with no restricted timings says so, rather than implying a limit that does not exist.
- Because hours live on the line, a campaign can never dial outside them by accident. That is the whole point of the arrangement.
