Understand and top up your calling balance

Real money for carrier minutes and AI voice, shown in currency rather than as an allowance. It is the one number that can stop your phones outright.

Most limits in Convarza are monthly allowances that reset. The calling balance is not one of them — it is money, shown in currency, covering carrier minutes and AI voice, and it runs down rather than resetting.

That makes it the single number on Home most capable of stopping your operation. A plan allowance running out degrades something; a calling balance hitting zero means the phones stop.

Before you start

  • Admin access — the balance sits with billing.
  • A rough idea of your weekly call volume, so the burn rate means something.

Steps

Find it on Home

First card, in currency, labelled as carrier minutes and AI voice. It is first for a reason — it is the only number on the screen that can stop your phones outright.

Everything else on Home is an allowance that resets. This is money that runs down.

Understand what draws on it

Carrier minutes — what your telephony provider charges for the call — and AI voice. Both inbound and outbound calls consume it.

Learn your normal weekly burn

Note the balance on the same day two weeks running. The difference is your burn rate, and without it you cannot tell an unusual week from a normal one.

Project before a campaign

A campaign multiplies call volume, and therefore balance consumption. Estimate dials × average duration before you launch a large one.

Top up before you need to, not after

Running to zero mid-campaign is a bad afternoon: the campaign stalls, inbound calls may be affected, and nothing about the symptom points at billing.

Watch it alongside the AI voice minutes bar

They are related but different. AI voice minutes are your plan allowance; the balance is the money. You can exhaust either independently.

Check it worked

Note the balance today and again in a week. The difference is your real weekly burn, and dividing the current balance by it tells you how many days you have left. If that number is smaller than your billing cycle, top up now rather than finding out on a Friday.

Worth knowing

The parts people get wrong

  • This is separate from your plan. Upgrading your plan does not top up the calling balance.
  • Carrier minutes and AI voice minutes are different meters measuring different things. A call consumes both.
